Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How We Work

What is your bespoke process?

We offer a personalised bespoke service for both local and remote customers. You can read more about our bespoke process.

Where is your jewellery made?

Our jewellery is crafted by skilled artisans in South Australia. We combine traditional techniques with modern CAD technology to ensure precision and exceptional craftsmanship.

Do you remodel existing jewellery?

At this time, we do not offer remodelling services. This may be something we explore in the future.

Can I provide my own gemstones or metal?

We exclusively use metals and gemstones that we have sourced ourselves to maintain our high standards of quality. This ensures that every gemstone is carefully selected for its stability, durability, and industry-accepted treatments. Additionally, our high-quality metal alloys are chosen to enhance the longevity and wearability of each piece.

Can you source a specific gemstone for me?

Yes! Our director personally selects every gemstone and works closely with trusted suppliers to source specific gemstones upon request. Contact us to discuss your requirements.

How long does it take to create a bespoke piece?

Bespoke pieces typically take 4–8 weeks to complete once your design is finalised and your deposit has been received.

Can you accommodate urgent orders?

We will do our best to meet tight deadlines, but we cannot guarantee rush orders. Please contact us before placing an order to discuss options.

Can you create a custom open or curved ring to fit my engagement ring?

Yes, we can design and craft custom-fitted wedding bands to perfectly complement your engagement ring.

Do you offer payment plans for bespoke pieces?

Materials

What materials do you use in your jewellery?

We use high-quality, ethically sourced gold, platinum, diamonds, and precious gemstones. Our metals are sourced from Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) members and are recycled where possible.

Can I receive my jewellery or gemstone before paying in full?

No, jewellery and gemstones will not be shipped or collected until full payment has been received.

Do you offer discounts or promotions?

No, we do not offer discounts or promotions. We always price fairly, considering the cost of materials, labour, and the individual specifications of each piece.

Are your gemstones and diamonds ethically sourced?

Yes, we source all our gemstones from ethical and reputable suppliers, including direct partnerships with small-scale miners and skilled gem cutters. Additionally, we work with trusted local gemstone specialists who provide transparency regarding origin and treatments. Our diamonds are conflict-free and comply with the Kimberley Process to ensure responsible sourcing.

Are your diamonds certified?

Yes, all modern-cut colourless diamonds over 0.50 carats are certified. Some accent stones, champagne diamonds, and antique or rose-cut diamonds may not come with certification.

What metals do you work with?

We use 18k gold and platinum for engagement and wedding rings, with additional options for 9k and 14k gold in fine jewellery.

What is the difference between 9k, 14k, and 18k gold?

Pure gold is too soft for everyday wear, so it is alloyed with other metals for durability:
18k gold (75% pure gold) is the preferred choice for long-lasting jewellery due to its strength and rich colour.
14k gold (58.3% pure gold) offers a balance between durability and affordability.
9k gold (37.5% pure gold) is more brittle and has a paler colour due to its lower gold content.

What is the difference between yellow, rose, and white gold?

The difference lies in the alloy mix:
Yellow gold retains its warm hue due to a mix of gold, silver, and copper.
Rose gold gets its blush tone from a higher copper content.
White gold is alloyed with white metals (such as palladium) and is rhodium-plated for a bright, platinum-like finish.

What is the difference between white gold and platinum?

Platinum is a dense, highly durable white metal that does not require rhodium plating. White gold, however, needs periodic re-plating to maintain its bright white appearance.

What is rhodium plating?

White gold naturally has a slightly warm tone, so it is coated with rhodium to give it a bright, reflective finish. Over time, this plating wears away and requires reapplication every 6–12 months.
