Jewellery Remodelling Adelaide: Transforming Old Pieces into Modern Heirlooms

Old stories, new designs — our jewellery remodelling service gives new life to your existing pieces, transforming outdated, unworn, or inherited jewellery into something that finally feels like you.

What is Jewellery Remodelling?

Remodelling is the art of transforming your existing metals and gemstones into a completely new design. It’s a meaningful way to preserve the sentiment of your original piece while giving it a refreshed, contemporary form.

Your diamonds or coloured gemstones can be carefully unset and reimagined into something entirely new — whether that’s a ring, pendant, or a matching set. If desired, we can incorporate new stones or metals to bring your vision to life.

Every remodelling project is approached with a tailored perspective — drawing on your personal story, design preferences, and materials. Through collaborative consultations and thoughtful design work, we ensure your final piece is a true reflection of you.

Remodelling FAQ

Can all jewellery be remodelled?

Not always — but often. We’ll assess your materials in person to determine whether the stones and metal are suitable for reuse. Some fragile stones may require replacement or recutting.

What types of jewellery can I remodel?

Most commonly: engagement rings, wedding bands, inherited pieces, or old gold and gemstones you no longer wear. We can remodel almost anything into rings, earrings, necklaces, or custom designs.

Can you melt down my gold?

We generally recommend using newly supplied gold, as it allows us to guarantee the structural integrity and longevity of your finished piece. While we deeply appreciate the sentimental value of heirloom gold, it can sometimes present challenges in the manufacturing process. For simpler designs like plain bands, we may be able to reuse your original metal — but in most cases, we suggest incorporating new gold to ensure the highest quality outcome.

What if I want to add new stones?

We’re happy to help source additional diamonds, sapphires, or other gems that complement your existing materials. This is often a great way to enhance or personalise your new design.

How long does the process take?

Remodelling usually takes 4–8 weeks from design approval, depending on the complexity of the piece.

I’m not based in Adelaide — can I still remodel my jewellery with you?

Absolutely. We regularly work with clients across Australia. We’ll guide you through how to safely send your jewellery to our studio, and continue collaborating via email and phone throughout the entire process.
