Carmen & Lucy Fine Jewellery is an Adelaide jewellery designer specialising in bespoke engagement rings, unique diamonds, colourful sapphires, jewellery remodelling, and made-to-order fine jewellery.
Working from our private Adelaide CBD studio, we help clients create pieces that feel personal and meaningful to them. Meet the owner.
Carmen & Lucy was founded by jewellery designer Julia Rajkovich.
With extensive experience in custom design, traditional manufacturing workshops, and formal training in gemmology and diamond grading through the Gemmological Association of Australia, Julia brings together technical expertise and a practical understanding of how jewellery is worn, crafted, and appreciated over time.
Having spent years working within the bespoke jewellery industry, she developed a passion for coloured gemstones, custom design, and helping clients navigate what can often feel like an overwhelming process.
Today, Julia works closely with each client from the initial consultation through to the final piece, guiding them through gemstone selection, design development, and production.
The story behind the name.
The business is named after Julia’s grandmothers, Carmen and Lucy, who migrated to Australia during the 1960s.
Their resilience, determination, and willingness to build a new life inspired the values that continue to guide the business today.
While the jewellery itself is contemporary, the name serves as a reminder that meaningful pieces often become part of a family’s story, passed from one generation to the next.

From Australian parti sapphires to natural and lab-grown diamonds, every gemstone is selected individually based on its colour, cut, proportions, and overall performance.
We regularly source gemstones from Australia, Sri Lanka, Madagascar, and other renowned gem-producing regions, presenting carefully curated options that align with each client’s brief.
Because no two gemstones are exactly alike, we believe seeing stones side by side and understanding their differences is one of the most important parts of the design process.

Following an initial consultation, designs are developed through digital sketches and CAD modelling before being manufactured by skilled Australian jewellers. Each piece is individually made rather than mass produced, allowing every detail to be considered from both an aesthetic and practical perspective.
Our approach balances creativity with durability, ensuring the finished piece not only looks beautiful on the day it is collected, but continues to be worn and enjoyed for years to come.
